wealthy jeweler, Samuel P.
Hamilton and more recently

The
Hamilton-Turner Inn was one of
the first homes in Savannah to
have electricity. The Inn
currently has 14 luxurious
bedrooms and suites furnished
with Empire, Eastlake, and
Renaissance Revival period
antiques, carefully chosen
from area estates. |
| Several
of the spacious bedrooms have
working fireplaces and
balconies overlooking the
square. The bathrooms have
either Victorian claw-foot
tubs or whirlpools. The garden
level features Savannah gray
brick archways and hand hewn
timbers. |
